Journal for the popularisation of scientific research conducted in the INRS' laboratories

What is Synthesis?
The Journal La Synthèse is a popular science journal written by master's and PhD students at the National Institute for Scientific Research (INRS). It aims to democratize the research carried out in the laboratories of all university's centers. What is scientific research? What experiments are conducted by the scientists? What are the latest scientific discoveries? These are the kinds of questions popular articles answer! The topics of the articles are based on the different study programs of all the INRS centers: Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie centre, Urbanization Culture Société centre, Énergie Matériaux Telecommunications centre, as well as the Eau Terre Environnement centre. From bacteria to cancer, to hydrology and sustainable energy sources to social issues, you will be served! The articles, in English and in French, are presented with a comic strip which illustrate the topic. Find out more ...
